The balancing act was to get both a sycophant who would do what we wants and a respected person the markets wouldn't panic about, which was always going to be a tough set of requirements.

This is both good and bad news. Obviously it is good to have a reasonable person in charge of the FED.

On the other hand, in order to save the United States, and the world, from itself we might need to have an economic meltdown. Though obviously that would very bad for millions of people including myself.

Guess that means we can expect military strikes this weekend as a distraction. Possibly against Iran, but maybe also Denmark or Minnesota.
