It'd almost be funny if it didn't effect the world economy

Yeah well announcing and implementing are two different things, especially with this President.

Glad it's now when I'm ready to get a new car and not a few weeks ago before I got my annual bonus.

I've always bought domestic in the past, but I think I'm going to have to buy something Japanese, since Trump is ending the auto pact between Canada and the US.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I'm considering between a Buick Enclave or a Honda Odyssey.

My wife likes her Kia.  I'm thinking about some sort of hybrid maybe, although obviously full electric is out of the question.  I've heard good things about Toyota.  Maybe a Highlander?  It's named after an awesome movie, after all.

And now the EU has (understandably) tariffed back. New trade war. So much winning.

Toyota hybrids are supposed to be good. Or Lexus if you want to show off more :D

I have a few colleagues who have the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and quite like it.

Decent show.

My current car is a 2013 VW Jetta. Cheap and nothing fancy, but I did love it until it started falling apart at 160,000 miles.
I would replace it with a VW ID Buzz in a heartbeat if only they were a lot cheaper.  :weep:

I'm increasingly fascinated by the sort of intellectual priesthood that exists around Trump. I listened to a Sam Harris interview with Niall Ferguson and its just sort of a head scratcher. I like Harris on meditation and one or two other topics but find him insufferable on politics in general, although he's obviously strongly critical of Trump. Overall though I think hes very thoughtful and well meaning, just sort of naïve.

Ferguson is fun to listen to, bit too right wing for me, but whatever. When he gets on to Trump though it gets weird, its all sort of "Trump understands this, Trump understands whats at Stake, Trump sees the danger" kind of language.

Theres a whole legion of pundits, writers and would be thinkers on the right doing this, sort of explaining Trump like hes not what he is, but what they imagine he could be or might be. It just seems shatteringly obvious that Trump is kind of an idiot, at best hes kind of an idiot.

Is it just me? Is my sense that Trumps a moron just wholly wrong? How are these people who have hitched their reputation to Trump going to look in four years or eight years?
