I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

It's funny - but I wonder how badly it dates those who get it. Do comics still advertise those toy soldiers these days? I don't even know. Last time I saw an actual comic book was like thirty years ago.

If you get it you're a boomer in mind if not in body.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

I sent away for sea monkeys once but they never hatched.  Probably because the eggs were sitting in international mail for couple weeks.

I didn't like the Tom-the-dancing-bug cartoons back when Bush was president.  I thought the stuff about the Iraq war was over the top, because I didn't see it as a plot to take away all our liberties.  I don't like this one either, but for very the opposite reason. :(
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I shared this with my students yesterday.  Most of them got the whole meme of comic book ads.  It was an easier sell than "What have the Romans Done for US?"  But harder than "Romanum erat Domun" or the stoning scene.

Would you agree that incels are anti-feminist and misogynistic?

Not per se.  I don't think they hate women for being women; they hate them for being desireable and unattainable.

It's analogous to the wealth/income inequality argument: people who want to tax the rich and get free money are not anti-money.

I don't think the internal reason for hating women makes hating women any less misogynistic or anti-feminist.

Someone who hates Jews not because they're Jews but because of [insert anti-semitic justification] is still anti-semitic.

I mean... you're saying they hate women. That is, by definition, misogynist.

QuoteIt's analogous to the wealth/income inequality argument: people who want to tax the rich and get free money are not anti-money.

For that analogy to hold, you need to think of women as a consumable good. That is inherently anti-feminist and misogynistic.

I get that point.  But is a person who, for example, hates gold diggers, or cock teases, or some other category of women, mysoginistic?

Is a person who hates wife beaters, or pedophiles, anti-male?

I think disliking an individual because they're using sex and pretend affection to get at someone's money is not necessarily misogynistic (though assuming motive and assuming you know what goes on in a relationship is imprecise at best). Assuming that broad groups of women are all gold diggers and therefore hating all women who share superficial similarities (personal style/ vocabulary/ job/ ethnicity) because they're "all gold diggers" is probably misogynistic, yes.

Hating "cock teases" is probably a sign of misogyny, yes. Women are not obligated to fuck you even if they smiled at you at Starbucks/ had a friendly conversation with you/ smell nice/ wear revealing clothes/ flirted with you. I mean, it's perfectly normal to be frustrated when you think you're getting laid and then it turns out you're not, but transitioning that frustration into hate is messed up and applying that hate to a broadly constructed group of women is absolutely misogynist.

QuoteIs a person who hates wife beaters, or pedophiles, anti-male?

No, not the least because wife beaters and pedophiles can be female as well.

But leaving aside that wife beaters and pedophiles are not exclusively male... hating men who abuse others (beating and/ or raping them) is not anti-male, no. Assuming that all men are wife-beaters or pedophiles and therefore hating them is anti-male.

So Trump is telling his people not to vote in 2022 or 2024 unless Republicans "solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020,"
