To my ear, the limited Finnish I have heard thus far sounds vaguely like... Russian? :hmm:

I am sure I would get beaten up if I said that aloud in Helsinki. :)

Nowhere near.

What I like about Finnish is that the letters are pronounced almost exactly like in German. :D

I have no idea what they're saying but when I've heard Basque it clearly sounds like a language spoken by Spanish speakers.

Well, to be fair, the Bay Area does have trouble claiming Oakland...but legally, I think they are still actually part of the USA.
