We sacrificed so much for the invasion of Iraq. We alienated so many allies, destroyed the credibility of so many of our institutions, demoralized our population, and sacrificed thousands of soldiers and for what?

Brilliant move Dubya.

And now, with this agreement between Israel and the UAE, Donald Trump is bringing peace to the Middle East. Unbelievable, Jim, absolutely unbelievable.

I didn't realize the conflict in the Middle East was between Israel and the UAE :hmm:

What exactly is this agreement about?

The Minsky Moment

The UAE is normalizing diplomatic relations with Israel. It is a significant if mostly symbolic step - previously Egypt and Jordan with the only Arab states with normal diplomatic relations with Israel.

One of the main reasons I believe that he will be seen as one of our worst presidents ever.
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

At this point I'm hoping he isn't James Buchanon or Milard Filmore bad.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Trump first pretends he doesn't understand, then moves on to the next question.

I'm more surprised it's taken 3 1/2 years for the press corps to ask the question. And then switching back to the payroll tax as if nothing happened :bleeding:

Has he come up with a nickname for Harris already? Can't find anything on his twitter feed. Have the muses deserted him?  :hmm:

Yes, it stars with "N".

It's actually funny that in Finland, a nickname wouldn't even be needed, because "kamala" means "terrible". :D

Funny, I was just playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 and driving around Turku listening to Radio Helsinki (realtime stream).  I can't understand a damn thing in Finnish... I have a pretty good understanding of French and Italian (while driving in the game, I always listen to local radio), but Finnish is like total gibberish to me.   :D

edit: and yes I know it's in the Finno-Ugric language family... I just have never heard spoken Finnish before, is all. ;)

Hungarian is the same. Total gobbledygook for an English speaker.
