WTF is "crainsnewyork".

If we blame our plight at people forming opinions on ill-advised sources, maybe we shouldn't do it that much ourselves?

Also, that is in line with what sources you may be aware of are saying.
"I've never been quite sure what the point of a eunuch is, if truth be told. It seems to me they're only men with the useful bits cut off."
I drank because I wanted to drown my sorrows, but now the damned things have learned to swim.

That's fine, it's just that Tim keeps quoting webpages I never heard before. Like, every single time a new one.

Okay, carry on with your bee-in-bonnet. :P

It's just annoying that we rightly diss the pro-Trumpian people for gulping down everything on their Facebook feed as gospel, and then we go ahead and do the same with whatever random source as long as it feeds our narrative.

Sure, far more often than not it happens to be true, since Trump is an exceptionally dumb and sleezy individual, but still at the end of the day it's just some random site posting some shit.

But your current one at least appears that you've never heard of them.

The Minsky Moment

Crains is a business newspaper.  I believe it's pretty well respected.  Not aware of any strong political bias.
The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

The Larch

Did you guys see the pics of Donald Trump's parents in which they look like background characters in a Tim Burton movie?

FBI report is in. If I heard correctly on NPR, no evidence of sexual misconduct or excessive drinking.

I wonder if it'll end with a bang or a whimper?

The 'presidency' that is.

Or maybe it was no corroboration.

Since they didnt interview any of the witnesses who could corroborate, that would not be entirely surprising.

They didn't interview Kanavaugh. They didn't interview Ford. They didn't interview the vast majority of the witnessess sited by the accussers, nor the many people who came forward to the FBI.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Such a farce.  I guess I shouldn't be even remotely surprised though.  It'll "convince" the people who were already on board or were looking for any reason to do so.
"Everything that brought you here -- all the things that made you a prisoner of past sins -- they are gone. Forever and for good. So let the past go... and live."

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

It doesn't matter.  Nothing matters.

Probably not, but we will need to wait for November to know for sure. Won't keep Kav off the Supreme Court though because IT IS SO TERRIBLE THAT WOMEN CAN RUIN MEN'S LIVES BY MAKING UP SEXUAL ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS....they might get on the Supreme Court a bit slower.
