Ok I did a little research and it looks like it is a suburban district near Tulsa. Just as I thought, though, it normally is a place where Republicans win by 10-15%.

Not the sort of place where a lesbian married to an African-American woman is expected to do well. It is a good sign for 2018

It could be, I was just saying it was not as huge of an upset as that article suggested. Trump's numbers were abnormal in many places and shouldn't necessarily be taken to indicate Republican strength or weakness.

Al Franken should be expelled from the Senate.

It was a joke.

It miss by so much, it still going along reaching for the stars, but still a joke.

I would've appreciated it;  however, considering how you Languish atheist types have consistently demonstrated zero sense of humor when it comes to these matters, there are no benefits offered—doubts, French or otherwise.

Oh, now we're stereotyping.

Oh, now we're stereotyping.

All bible-thumpers stereotype.  It's in their genes.

It's easy to stereotype atheists:  they all fall under the same category of supremely professional obnoxiousness as vegans, personal injury attorneys and time-share presenters.

Is he not good enough, smart enough, and doggone liked enough?

Whereas agnostics, we're just lovely.

He was a Democrat when he did all that :P

That has to be one of the stupidest things Rush has ever said.

You know way back when I used to like the guy (Rush, not Moore).  We didn't get his radio show in Canada, but I watched his short-lived tv show and he generally sounded to me like he made a lot of sense.  How has he gone so far off the rails in the last 20 years?
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

He hasn't changed at all.

Well, at least they aren't so tedious.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
