I went "Tonight, Tonight"; I think that captures the spirit of what Billy's trying to do on "Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" perfectly.

Edit:  And the video is based on George Melies Le voyage dans la lune.  So I feel obligated to vote for it.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

1979

I think the video for that captures the mid-90s zeitgeist, in all its Doc Martens glory, perfectly.

When I was a kid listening to it on a tape player... Bullet with Butterfly Wings. Now? 1979 or Disarm.

I just gave Mellon Collie a spin to answer the poll, and I find myself in the same position as Fate.

"despite all my rage i am still just a rat in a cage" is one of the greatest lyrics ever, imo.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Disarm was always my favorite song of theirs and still is
