Apparently for heteros the "goldilocks" area is 8-12:

Pointless count. You could do it once with 100 and you'd have had lesa sex than if you did it 20 times with 6. Which would be horribly low.

I'm in the 11-20 group.  Don't know the exact number, but I am sure of at least 11 but I can't get to 20 without including individual fingers.
