Was boxing so conservative even back then?
I'd imagine at least it allowed more than the modern sport

The whole point of that movie is having no chance at all to win but still doing your damn best.

Quote'Cause I was thinkin', it really don't matter if I lose this fight. It really don't matter if this guy opens my head, either. 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood.

It's threads like this that somebody needs to cut Timmay's eye and make him spit up blood.  Fucking autistic ass chimp.

Judges don't care about broken ribs or spitting up blood, they score the fight based on how the fighters are fighting.  That fight would have been an easy win for Creed; Rocky went down what 4 times and Apollo controlled the action until the end of the 15th.

And if they stopped the fight for anything it would have been stopped and Creed gotten the win way before Rocky could break his ribs.

I can agree with this.

Plus he never would have gottten licensed for the second fight due to the eye issue.

Besides, Rocky I was kind of based on the Ali/Wepner fight. People equate Creed as Ali, but Ali never had the knockout punch that Creed was portrayed as having.

To be fair, that was probably before mass-Google indexing became a widespread/well-known thing.

And changed like ten years ago?

Not asking you to be nice, just be respectful of this one request.
