There's lots of stupid theories that float around unproven.  They are unproven because they are wrong.
Of course, I didn't want to imply otherwise.

QuoteI'm a bit shocked that Netanyahu said this.  This weird even for him.
I am surprised he dare say so, but I am not shocked.  A few years ago, Netanyahu's ennemy #1 would have been the moderates in his coallition and in the opposition.  Now, the only people he need to fear are those with more radical positions than his, so he's playing the Trump card, he'll just say crazy things to attract the more lunatic fringes of the Israeli society.

My respect for the Germans just got bumped up a little bit.

We're generally pretty awesome when we're not waging genocidal war against the world. :)
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

The Minsky Moment

Imagine what would be the reaction of the "civilized world" if a non-Israeli head of government said something similar.

Doesn't take that much imagination; usually it's a yawn.

The better question is how long it will take the ADL to issue a condemnation, when if anyone else tried to lessen Hitler's responsibility Abe Foxman would be all over them.

At this point, it's a mystery why any sane diaspora Jew would have sympathy for this government.  The spectacle of the PM of Israel dabbling in Holocaust Revisionism. How much lower can he go?

Deporting all Palestinians?  Claiming they don't belong in Palestine?
I know it's been done, but never by an Israeli PM.

The Israelis are just trying to fit in to the neighborhood. Actively exterminating entire groups who have lived in an area for centuries is what being a Middle Easterner is all about.

Just like Holocaust Revision. He is certainly checking all the boxes.

I thought we passed that point long ago.  Bibi is blatantly dishonest and does not deal in good faith.  The other parties in Israel must be really fucked up if he keeps getting reelected.  His government seems hell bent on pissing off allies and neutral parties.

That's regular garden variety crappy politician stuff.
This is beyond that.   If a regular crappy politician is Guller Level 2 crappy this is like Level 5 crappy.
