Francis Boucher was serving a 117-day sentence for having uttered death threats against police officers – a sentence due to be completed at the end of May.
Boucher, 39, walked out of Bordeaux Prison Monday at about 11 a.m.
Quebec Public Security Minister Lise Theriault called the incident "inexcusable" and said everything was being done to "find this individual as quickly as possible."
Officials, however, appear to differ on just how Boucher left the prison. How did Boucher escape?Marc Lyrette, the deputy director of the correctional system in Montreal, said Boucher was released due to "what appears to be an administrative error."
But Louise Quintin, a spokeswoman for the Department of Public Safety, said Boucher used a "trick" to leave the prison and this was "not an administrative error," but did not elaborate further.
On Monday evening, Theriault requested an administrative investigation to determine just how Boucher left the facility.Who is he?Boucher, a former member of the Rockers, a Hells affiliate, was previously sentenced to 10 years for gangsterism, conspiracy to commit murder and drug-trafficking.
He is described as about five-foot-nine inches tall and 165 pounds, with green eyes and salt and pepper hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call police immediately at 514-310-4141.

Thankfully, he was supposed to be there for only 117 days.  Unlike the other clowns that escaped with an helicopter.

If he tricked the guards to escape, as some pretend (how is that even possible in a modern prison?), I wonder what is the motive given the low sentence. It's not like guys like that can't handle 3 months of jail time.
