Feels a little slow today as well, though - the ping took 20ms which is about a third longer than the last time I tested it.

Of course, if I was using the laptop at the other end of the room the down speed would be over 70 (or it was the last time it was tested) which is faster than the service is supposed to manage IIRC.

Mono, what on earth do you do with speeds that fast?


Edit: Yep, that was slow. Just did a second test and the ping took 10ms.

55 mbps down 15 (for some reason) up.

I get more than I pay for, but upgrading the cable DSL beyond this is just not worth the extra outlay. I'm holding out for optical fiber lines in the neighbourhood. Which mostly will be when I am blind, deaf and unable to wank to 4k porn on 120 inch built-in flatscreen over my bed.

The first impression I had with HD porn was that the girls looked worse.  Because all her flaws are now shown clearly.  I imagine that 4K porn is probably even less desirable.  Some things are better left unseen.

Is this bad? I am using a netgear wireless router to Wi-Fi to this laptop.

Also, I never had my up speed being higher than my donw speed. this it kind of weird.

it's slow, but it depends on your theoritical speeds, i.e. what your ISP is supposed to deliver.
