grumbler the libertarian is on par with Malthus the virulent anti-French bigot.

If he has a problem with my characterization, I'm sure he'll tell me.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Good article and food for thought. I think it brings out some good points on how far gone "political correctness" can sometimes go, to society's detriment.

I agree.  There have always been universities that have resisted the pc movement, but I think that this gets harder as the stuents arrive with, via social media, an already-existing commitment to pc.  PC is popular with teens because, with pc, everyone can be a victim!

So far, I have been bad at claiming victimhood status.  :(

I am a victim because I have been left out.

Are you sure you're not "left behind" by all those people being raptured as we speak?

I just wish the process would speed up a bit.

Such prejudice against you is so scandalous!     Demand your victimhood!

Can I be a victim?

Nah, it doesn't go well with my character.
I think I would slap myself if I were to become a crying baby liberal.

Maybe he'll rediscover his roots when he gets older and start doing things like complaining about digestion.

He lives on the edge, we know that.  He went all the way to Iraq without so much as a jacket.
