A Possible Automobile Mileage Metric In Search Of Meaning

Tinkering around with some family auto purchase dates, prompted this 'idea:, take the combined total mileage of every car your parents bought and compare it to the combined mileages of all the cars you and your siblings have owned or leased so far.

What might this tell you if you compared the different generations in you family or across social classes or between different modern countries?

Might this proto-auto metric be of any use to anyone?

Incidentally my siblings and I, five living and one dead, overtook our parents, one living, one deceased, at 3:43PM on the 27th of May 1997.
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Is there an app for that?

I barely drive anywhere as I take public transport to work so I doubt I'll notch up a fraction of my parents' lifetime mileage before I am finally sold for scrap.

Beware: Two threads maketh not a meme.

It certainly appeals to the stoner demo, I'll grant you that.
