In reality, the peace prize should probably just be renamed the Medicins Sans Frontieres Prize and they should just be given the million dollars a year.  I would agree that this year's prizes are the exception, but generally the Nobel Peace Prize is a joke, and MSF could use the cash.

Actually, they could bundle the Nobel Prize for Literature into the MSF Prize as well.  That's another complete joke, and MSF could put that million to better use, too.

I'd go against that, anything that raises MSF's profile higher or makes it appear more connected 'officially' to world institutions is a bad idea, those people don't need to be doing their work whilst the bad guys are thinking  "hey those infidels/westerners work for the World Government/UN/NWA etc"

Actually, that's precisely the opposite of MSF's problem.  They are so widely trusted that infected people in Liberia would rather wait in line outside their clinics than get admitted immediately in non-MSF clinics.  NPR had a report on exactly that problem this morning.

Deserved or not, the EU Nobel Prize was awarded for its role in continued peace in the continent - its western part at the very least.
