Why are they asking her to get out of the car to begin with? Wasn't she turning the car around to leave?

Indeed.  They are not the police.  And even the police would just tell her to move her car because it is blocking traffic.

Anyone surrounded by a gang of masked gunmen is going to try to escape the situation.

This keeps being my biggest puzzelment over how could anyone realistically expect compliance when the supposed law enforcement people are coming in unmarked civilian vehicles wearing nothing that a civilian couldn't just buy and put on (including the assault rifles).

I mean I know the true intent is to create chaos and violence, but surely state forces could legitimately curtail or at least hinder such ICE behaviour if they cared enough. Such as, IDK, responding to a call of kidnapping.

At the very least the incident was total incompetence as police officers are trained never to stand in front of a vehicle.  They are obviously supposed to avoid situations that would require the use of deadly force.

But ICE officers aren't really trained are they?

Because she was obstructing official business.  She was blocking their vehicles.

Jacob

I just saw the video.

Looks like the guy just executes her for turning her vehicle around at a slow pace.

I can't find the right word to describe the combination if horror and incredulity from that scene.

I don't believe she was.  Traffic was flowing freely around her car.  I think what pissed them off is that she had been following ICE vehicles around that day.  Her car was parked near and sort of parallel to an ICE vehicle but not obstructing it.  If her car had not been there the degree of road obstruction would have been close to the same.

Funny, you say the car was turning at a slow pace but i was surprised how fast it all happened once she started to drive off. I guess that's the thing about human perception. Two people can look at the same thing and come away with two different observations.

Her wife was also antagonizing them, which problem pissed them off. Not that it excuses anything.

We have no evidence that this statement is true.  We don't know why her car was parked as it was.  And, in any case, if she was actually obstructing their vehicles, their response would have been to tell her to move her vehicle, not to get out of it so that it would continue to obstruct them.

The evidence supports the contention that they told her to get out of the car because ordering people around is a power trip and the evidence further supports a contention that ICE delibertaly hires people who enjoy power trips.

ICE agents are not police. Neither are FBI agents or TSA agents.  They have no role or duty in the maintenance of public order.  They cannot even arrest, let alone kill, people for parking violations.

How would removing the driver unblock their vehicles? It's nonsensical.

It's nonsensical if you think obstruction should not be illegal (it's a misdemeanor) or if you think there should  be no             consequences for breaking that law.

HVC

Does ICE even have to power to enforce that law? Assuming it's even obstruction which I'm not sure it is since from the video theres plenty of space for through traffic so not sure that they're obstructing.
