News helicopter crashes near Space Needle

QuoteA news helicopter for KOMO-TV has crashed outside its station near the Seattle Space Needle.

The station says the copter was apparently coming in for a landing on its rooftop Tuesday morning when it possibly hit the side of the building and went down, hitting several vehicles on Broad Street.

The copter and cars exploded in flames and casualties were reported.

People in the area reported seeing a huge cloud of smoke as firefighters and police responded.

"If only Obama and Pelosi and Biden were all on it....or getting out of a limo below when it crashed to the sidewalk....sigh....."

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. Nah, I wouldn't call Raz fringe, just hyperpartisan.

My daughter is about a half mile from where this happened.  She couldn't figure out why everyone in the world she knew texted her all at the same time asking about a helicopter crash and if she was OK.

Yeah there's been some of that, especially among very socially conservatives. But, obviously, it's rare and there's been lots of push back by other, saner conservatives.
