I didn't get to see as much of that one as I'd have liked, but I saw innings 6-9.

If my Thursday trial gets adjourned (and defence has an application to do so tomorrow) I might just "work from home" tomorrow afternoon. :shifty:

Wow.  Just... wow. :worthy:

You should never have given up on the Royals, BA.

Are you kidding?  BA giving up on them was just what the Royals needed.

Oh - Royals now have a 10 game postseason winning streak going.

This.

Well we will always have 1983.

We'll always have April.  You know, when Manny Machado and Matt Weiters were healthy, Chris Davis was hitting more home runs and less Ritalin, and their most expensive crown jewel off-season acquisition was actually on the fucking team.

I blame Peter Asbestos.

Dudes - the series is not over yet.  Does no one else remember the 2004 ALCS?

The Royals thing was cute at first but it has gone way too far.

That happens to other teams.

It's become obnoxious.  All that's missing is a monkey.

QuoteFamed Kansas City burger joint Westport Flea Market has been running a "1985" deal of late to celebrate the Royals' playoff success, and KCTV reporter Courtenay DeHoff dropped by Friday morning for a live shot from the restaurant's kitchen. That's where proprietor Joe Zwillenberg informed DeHoff that "I would love to see my meat in your mouth."

DeHoff's response was perfect, though we won't spoil it for you here.

So I make arrangements to "work from home" today to catch the game.

All the playoff games have been on cable channel Sportsnet.  I turn on Sportsnet - I see an advertisement for the game, but after the commercial it's showing... darts.

Found the game - on the little-used Sportsnet360 channel.  Why it wouldn't be on their main channel escapes me.

So I call the cable company to add the channel (or rather, a whole bundle of channels, for $10 *sigh*), and they offer me a callback in 20+ minutes.
