We are fucked, gg speiss. We probably won't score 5 runs the whole series.  :(

Hope you didn't turn off the game

It has my attention.  :hmm:
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Outstanding. I bet the Braves are looking for another Upton out there somewhere. Maximum Upton forever.

A question for folks who watch games on the MLB.tv media player. Last year you could watch the video broadcast while listening to the radio audio. Am I missing something, or have they removed that option this year? It seems you can only watch the video or listen to the radio now. :(
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

No idea.  I barely ever used the PC media player even when I had it last year.  Watched everything on Xbox or my phone.  Starting to sort of miss it.

Looks like BA is getting a good game so far.  Cleveland up 4-0 in the bottom of the 5th and threatening to put more on the board.  My Cleveland native co-worker is streaming the game.

Both were great games.  I love going out there, I just wish my schedule allowed for more visitations.

Getting tired of having to celebrate the Cards avoiding a sweep

On the other hand, I got to see two freaks of nature at work today.  Billy Hamilton bunted a lead-off single that landed him on third after a bad throw.  Then he turned around and got probably the fastest stand-up triple I've ever seen.  Then Aroldis Chapman made a flat-out awesome comeback in his first appearance since that gruesome pre-season injury.  Consistently threw 100+.  I'm not a Reds fan but you couldn't help but feel good for them after that outing.

Just as importantly, how did your beer shopping go?

Without Brian Wilson, they're just not as fun.

I had a blast.  Dropped just under two bills.  The only major disappointment was the lack of 3 Floyds of any variety in bottles that I could find.  One place some on draught for filling growlers, but I didn't want to chance it on a six-ish hour ride home in the car.  It just gives me more reason to go back at some point.  Hopefully I can manage to fit one in with the days off that I earn at my NPS job giving me a few days off and assigning some of my underlings to work an extra shift or two at the bar where I run the security.  Failing that, I'll be praying to Hod even more desperately for a playoff run.

When we went to St. Louis last year, I brought a cooler expressly for the purpose of bringing a couple growlers back from the Schlafly tap room.  It was going to be another 24+ hours before we would get home and I had to fill it with ice twice.  The entire drive home I was paranoid about the growlers surviving the trip.  Felt like I was transporting plutonium or something :D

I had a couple of growlers yesterday that I dropped into the can.

Cardinals win a series!  Granted, it was against the Cubs but it technically counts.
