London skyscraper melts cars, burns shops

A new office building under construction in London is basically built along the principle of Archimedes' heat ray, and it's melted some guy's Jaguar panels and paintwork, cracked tiles and started a shop carpet smouldering. An enterprising journalist used the concentrated light to cook an egg on the news last night.

A bit of an oversight by the architect, unless it was commissioned by Mr Burns or Dr Evil.

Inevitably it has become a bit of a tourist attraction in the City.
