 We touched upon this subject briefly in the OTT a few days ago, and it had me thinking.

Of course, Victorian England or Japan would be obvious examples, but i'd like to do a commentary on a short work I feel to be very illustrative, by the notable african-american spokesman Biggie Smalls, with concurrent contribution by Too $hort. 

Before beginning, I believe I should state this definitively proves African American culture is very much involved in notions of purity in sexuality, but considers (as cultures invariably do) men to be removed from concerns of sexual purity. The male is an actor, not an acted upon object. In the intriguing case of the African American community, however, the male is not only free from mores of modesty, but also those of basic civilization; While clearly familiar with acceptable standards, the african-american man exults in his flaunting of them, and embraces a more bestial aspect while still, compellingly, bringing the weight of social sanction upon females even as they are willfully defiled.

From the initial lead-in, we see a disrespectful tone to the sexual partners that are to be discussed.

However, the idea of any sort of sexual activity, however minor, that pleasures the woman exclusively is beyond the pale, and suggestions of it earn a rebuke and further insults, confirming the inappropriate nature of female sexuality.

Neither confers sexual pleasure for Biggie- it is to defile and shame his partner, reinforcing his own status and confirming her debasement.

You have something here in that they don't place any value on them; as a community that rejects the architecture upon which most civilization stands, they have no use for innocence, although by their emphasis on pollution, defiling and objectification they affirm its existence. They place value not in innocence, but in the potency of their own actions for demolishing it- they insult women as they pile greater indignities upon them, etc etc.

Besides common aspersions against my person, I don't think there is much wrong with this analysis.
