Lack of skill? Not sure, is the average age of a tour rider younger? with less experience? The bikes are faster? Are the routes more dangerous? there have always been sharp turns, and not all crashes are at the turns anyway.

On Sunday ended the Austrian Tour. It always coincides with the Tour de France. During my first year in Austria I caught bits of it on TV, and first thought it was the Tour de France, but then I noticed that they were somewhere in Tyrol. Austrian TV shows the local tour instead of the Tour de France.
