Not really.
Every division have a 1st BDE, a 2nd, and so on.
What is not in order are the battalions. I am in 3-187, meaning 3rd Battalion from the 187th Regiment, but there are no infantry regiments in the army anymore, so Battalions belong to regiments for historical geneology only.

My brigade, 3BDE, have 3 combat Battalions (1 cavalry and 2 infantry) and a Brigade Support Battalion or BSB.
