For ship names I think I'll borrow from names of Yukon River Boats.

U.S.S. Klondike anyone?  How about the U.S.S. Tutshi or U.S.S. Tanana?


Oh and good point about the joined trill benefits...

I've already decided if I make a science based captain I'll have the U.S.S. Beagle :p

But I like the idea you have there, as far as i read the Ship names won't be exclusive so want to have something  you won't see 50 gazillon of.
