How does this laptop look?

My 2009 laptop is showing its age, and working on its 1366x768 screen is less than ideal. I'm not using it on the road, so battery life and weight are no big issues.

I'm currently looking at Amazon.de's:
Acer Aspire 8951G-263161.5TWnss
Core i7-2630QM 4x 2.00GHz
16GB RAM
2x750GB HD
nVidia GeForce GT555M w/ 2GB
18.4" WUXGA glare LED TFT (1920x1080)
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

Price tag: 1600 EUR

Ideas, comments?

I'm assuming that thing has shit battery life...

And what do you need 16GB of RAM for?

As said, battery life is no big concern for me.

And I could alt-tab between STO, WITE and OOTP. :P

You really need to ask that?   :P

Anyway, looks like what most people would call a desktop replacement. Big screen. Looks pretty cool as long as the chassis isn't shit. (And it has adequate cooling.)

Oh, I have 5 TB external storage, anyways (backups+media). I like to have a big system partition, though (i.e. /documents folder - it's very small on my current laptop ... and I'm too lazy to move it to the other partition) and plenty of room for installing games/software without runninig into space constraints.

Still, 1 would suffice, I say.

Are the Mobile chip with Sandy Bridge coming soon?

Oh that's one.

Every couple of weeks for a few days. Far from being a regular player. ;)
