I went and saw it tonight.

I thought it was a good movie, enjoyed it quite a bit.

Not even close to the logical disaster that Prometheus was - I am sure there are plenty of plot wholes, but nothing that was just unworkable.
Why would the machine go after the Earth for water when there are other, much better targets?
But yeah, once you ignore that central problem, I enjoyed it.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.
Why not? What other better targets are there? Maybe it has already visited the other, better targets, and Earth was just next on the list.
I am sure there are plenty of plot holes.
One thing I immediately noticed that was just dumb - when the Tet drops below the horizon, they lose contact? What, they don't have the tech for simple relay satellites?
Plot holes or not, it's blowing the doors off the box office this weekend.  I think I'll check it tomorrow or Tuesday AM.

CountDeMoney

Good piece on combat dogs on 60 Minutes tonight.

Well, if I watched the Communist Broadcasting System, I might try it.

It's 60 Minutes, you fascist.  It transcends reporting.

I hope Lesley Stahl buttfucks you with a stopwatch.

Did living in Miss make White AI crazy or just facilitate it?
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son

I think it's the heat.  And the tornadoes.  And the Klansmen.  And the shortened office hours.

Actually, it's Cocmast not letting me get the local channels because their set-top box for us poors (i.e., those that know you can get just 13 channels for five dollars) DOESN'T FUCKING WORK!

I will admit, I left it on the TV again when it was on, simply for Beckinsdale.
Ex-lover of Michael Sheen. He did very well there.

You know, I can't think of a plot hole I've noticed in any film

I think plot coherence isn't something I care about a lot.

13 channels? What is this, the 70's?

He's a fuckin' pimp, he steals the show in every movie he's in. I say good for him.

And yet, that's the first time I've mentioned him without just saying Martin/Michael Sheen  :Embarrass:

I'm in the process of transitioning from thinking of Michael as the guy who's name gets confused with Martin Sheen to thinking of Martin as the guy who's name gets confused with Michael Sheen.
