I thought it was some kind of "Smokey and the Bandit" tv series.

You'd be wrong.  It's genius.

Just watched John Carter.

With its box office numbers, looks like it was just you and Timmay so far.

Which is really strange since they had a straight forward story which was well paced and without plot holes in the original material. Y'know the book that invented science fiction in the english language. Too bad they pretty much changed everything.

A watching of Stigmata this weekend, reveals the deliciously dirty Patricia Arquette is a my draw for a rewatching.

I started to watch that on cable. Watched about 35 minutes and saw it still had another two hours. Just couldn't do it.

I wrote a glowing review when I saw it in the theatre.  Something about how it was the closest thing I'd seen in years to the feeling of the original Star Wars, and that all the haters were gonna hate.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I found it to be an excellent sci-fi movie.  Close to the opinion of Neil, except I never saw the original Star Wars in theaters.

I thought the quality, or lack thereof, had nothing to do with box office bomb.  Wasnt it just that nobody knew who or what John Carter was?

It's stupid way to name a sci-fi movie. Movie should have been Princess of Basura or something like.

The Asylum made a john carter movie in 2009 (better plot and pacing if you ask me, though their special effects were severely lacking)

They called their movie "Princess of Mars" and then when Disney dropped the "of Mars" from their title they changed it to "John Carter of Mars".
