I guess what I mean is that the Superman myth is big enough (and has to be) to accommodate a great many variations, whether that be Emo Superman (Superman Returns, disaffected from humanity, pines over lost love), "Standard" Superman (Post-Crisis DC, not too powerful initially, married, never stops fighting), Zany Superman (pre-Crisis DC, what will red kryptonite turn me into today?), or Class Warrior Superman (Action Comics #1, beats up rich people).

damnit get your facts straight...

It was bad enough that Ide brought up non-canon film but you now bring up an elseworld book?
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

Methinks you are bringing to my little interjection a level of seriousness entirely unwarranted.

How can you even mention canon in regards to the Superman property?
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Ask Bryan Singer on how Superman III and IV are canon.

Why would I care about what Bryan Singer thinks about anything?  He's retarded.

Besides, my whole point is that the Superman continuity is so mangled that it's wide open for creators to take or leave whatever they like.

FWIW, my parents went to see This Is The End and Mom--the very essence of the "that was stupid" generation when it comes to comedy--thought it was pretty funny.

I actually want to see that. Looks of good mindless fun. Momma Seedy sounds quite progressive.  :P

Me too, it was a very fun movie.  Makes me want to see In Brugges.
