Scars

I've got 4 large scars. one on my neck from surgery when i was little, one on the side of my knee from a venitian blind, and two on my left arm.

the ones on the left arm from 3rd degree burns from coffee from when i was a todler. one is on my forearm, and the other on my bicep. The two wounds actually fused to eachother when i got burned, and the flesh was torn when my dad seperated my arm in the moments after i got burned. as i grew the scars moved, so they don't line up anymore.

All over inside of hands (I was kinda "guitar first, calluses later" when I got into music). A couple on arms and knees from various accidents as a kid. One across my right eye that's faded and only shows up when I'm PO'd and blood rushes to my face.

I have one where I put a nail through my finger and another set where a cat bit me and put me in the hospital with infection, but I guess they don't count since they are less than an inch. 3-4 I guess.

I got a few scars.
None of them from enemy fire.

I stuck my left shoulder on a steel nail while breaching a door in southern lebanon.
In the same AO, I got a 6 inches long slash on the back of my right thigh while jumping over enemy barb-wire.
In Iraq, I broke my nose twice. Bleeding bad.
In the same AO, my Stryker got blown off, wheels under me flying off, and as I came back down I fucked up my elbow.
That was by far my worst injury ever.
I made a lot of missions while in pain thanks to that IED.
I could not take a day off because my Recon team could not afford to be one guy short.

I always meant to ask you, how big of an explosion can those Stryker's take?  And what's the typical size of one of those IEDs?

I have 5+ scars. Most from sports related injuries/surgeries. Several from work.

Forehead.  On my third birthday, my best friend hit me in the head with a toy that I wouldn't let him play with.  It's covered by my hair.

Also, on various fingers, from knives, inflicted whilst cooking.  None on my thumbs, though.

We got hit with diferent sizes IEDs.
The very first day we went outside the wire we got hit by an IED made of three 120mm mortar rounds linked together. We just kept going on, and then dismounted and back tracked the fuckers.

The one I was talking about was a deep buried IED, under the road, made of  five 155mm artillery rounds linked together plus ammonia bundles made out of fertilizers.
It blew my Stryker in the air, with the two wheels under me flying out (I was in the rear left air-guard hatch), but the force of the blast was deflected by the shape of the Stryker's bottom.

I use to have one that did most of my leg but I grew into it.

Have one about an inch long I got while drunk when I was like 20.  Barely noticeable now though.

Three C-sections and four open, abdominal surgeries; one scar nine inches across. Several laparoscopies, so a few scars from those as well. I think that's it.

One. Some asshat removed the isolation from some parts of the engine from a boat. My leg made the nice 'steak on a grill' sound when I entered the engineroom

Have a 4" abdominal scar from a splenectomy operation when I was 13.  That's about it.
