Still a couple more days, lets jam some more shittiness in universe.

Fox has a (not quite) up to date list of celebrity deaths - some I had almost forgotten. :(

Privately, it was a pretty good year, but at the same time it feels like the world is slipping into madness.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Same, privately it's been really good but overall what a shit year. Deaths of music greats, Syria, Trump, Portugal winning Euro.
And I can't help but feel 2017 will be worse.

Jesus, I'd forgotten just how many familiar faces we'd already lost this year, even without the last couple of deaths.

I can't help but think they this is a good year to cash out, the next few years are going to be rather brutal.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

What do they sell at the butt hut?

Celebrity deaths notwithstanding, I'm afraid 2016 is just setting up the stage for even suckier future years.

Duke sometimes gets so excited with schadenfreude that he misspells a few words. It's likely supposed to be butt hurt.
