LOL? The man wishes it was still the 1980s so bad.

Anti Woke ? Nothing screams straight like a musical  :P

A straight (character) does scream in phantom of the opera.

Yes, RFK found out he was running a secret lab that was the real source of COVID-19.  Bolton then used his CIA connections to frame Wuhan.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

It is a thing with Trump. I think he also suggested Phantom of the Opera or Fiddler on the Roof.

There was a clip during the election when he was doing one of those podcast interviews. The host was trying to basically bait Trump into talking about immigration and race and crime in New York - but made the mistake of framing this around Phantom closing on Broadway after 40 year run. This cued a lengthy anecdote from Trump, from which he would not be deterred, of how Andrew Lloyd-Webber lived in Trump Tower and invited him to the Phantom premier and how it was such an incredible show - the chandelier, the candles everwhere! The host kept on trying to turn back to crime and Trump would just remember another detail of how incredible the opening night of Phantom was.

In one of Trump's "I know writers who use subtext and their all cowards" moments, he went to see Evita five times when it came out.

Maybe we could get him to mention 'springtime for hitler'?

Judging from the calendar, it will be winter for Poland and France soon. So go on.

As a whole I don't really like them. Exception to fiddler which I really do like. And some Disney stuff for childhood nostalgia reasons.

I know it's dumb, given most movies are about suspension of disbelief, buy my monkey brain keeps screaming "why the hell are they singing and why is no one calling them out on this clearly psychotic behaviour". Like, if you were walking down the street and some lady in a flowing dress started spinning around and singing about her life you'd think she was weird, right?

There is this scene in Pirates of Penzance where the Pirates are sneaking up on the Major General's house and they are being very quiet and sneaky...and then suddenly break out into a giant song and dance number. And the song is about how quiet and sneaky they are. It is so amazingly stupid, I love it

Honestly I remember an article about Trump's rally playlist - which is always the same and incredibly weird for a political campaign - and being mortified to discover I'd probably enjoy most of it...

Similar with Nvidia which got an export licence for a chip that had been restricted, 15% of the revenue will go to the US government. Something similar with AMD for one of its chips. Now this.

Capitalism with American characteristics (although as someone not opposed to state involvement in the economy and industrial policy, not totally opposed to the Intel one - the other two just seem like straight up bribes).
