Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Not really consultations on reform but the issue of the new national planning policy framework. Less red tape - or at least fewer restrictions.

I think she was joking in a friendly (lengthy Spectator) interview and the media have spun it into a multi-day story (although fair play to the British Sandwich Association getting their PR out on this)

Feel like this is more an example of why mainstream politicians end up media-training themselves and sticking to "the line", because anything will be taken and run with by the press. See that someone asked the Prime Minister's Spokesman for a comment, which was provided :bleeding:

It makes them "all look the same" and leaves the space for others to claim "authenticity" and we end up with the politicians we deserve. I think this is the left-wing version of the Mail disapproving of Rayner dancing in Ibiza. I don't think the media get to complain about politicians not being serious when they decide the big line from a big interview is sandwiches - as I say many such cases.

(Although as exemplified by Dry Old Keith - she's right, sandwiches are crap lunch )

Some sandwhichs are ok ( if you're ever in portugal try the bifana, or if you prefer beef the prego), but the standard ham and cheese is a hunger satiater,  not a proper meal.

I love me a good sandwich. :bash:

I found it funny that she both said sandwiches aren't real food and that lunch breaks should be abolished.
The two just don't seem to go together.
Opposing sandwiches saying you should have a proper dinner instead - OK.
Opposing lunch breaks and saying have a sandwich instead - OK.
But the two together is weird.

One of things I really liked/miss about the UK was the accessibility and variety of ready-made sandwiches.

Over here, a grocery store will have much less obvious, much more limited variety/flavors.

I think that even Badenoch would concede that a sandwich plus a scotch egg is a more than adequte lunch

I may appear to spite a few posters here, but today I had some egg sandwiches ( I needed to eat some salt promptly).  :D
