English: 'Ere, wot's all this then on th' apples and pears, guvnuh.  Chim chiminy, chim chiminy, chim chim chiree.

I've never heard it anything like that. That sounds more like Euan.
I just say it Ean. The other common way is Een. (random aside thought- since ae is Ä is Ë ea?)
The annoying long drawn out way is Ee-ann.

For boys the names I like are ones that have family associations so James, Richard, Charles, Patrick, Stephen that sort of thing. 

For girls I like quite old-fashioned names like Teresa, Mary, Rosie, Catherine that sort of thing, my female relatives almost all have dreadful names.
