Why don't you tell me.  While you are at it, why did Republicans fixate on Chavez?
Are they really that fixated on him?  They'll mention him scornfully once in a while, but it's not like he doesn't deserve it.
When Dorsey is calling you on your partisan bullshit, it's time to take a minute and think about what you're saying.
Whatever you say, Berkut.

And yes, I read Granma and other Cuban publications from time to time.
Is it any good?

Very interesting to see the world through their eyes.  Journalistic quality isn't all that high, but with what their politicized editorial process must be, it's to be expected.

Chavez is also a Catholic.  I WIN.

He is?  I thought he was some kind of communist.

He's a "Bolivarian Socialist" or something like that.  Basically a Marxist with some of his own flavor added.  He had a spat with the church up until somewhat recently, but has often praised Jesus Christ as the "first true socialist".  And there's this:

I never entirely got the hate for Chavez.  I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as many have made out.  He's always been more Putin than Ahmedinejad or Khamenei.

I just thought he was another South American populist dictator.  The only reason he was hated was because of his nonsense in Columbia...well ok actually it was because Martim had a boner about him for a while and was really annoying about it.

I dislike him simply for destroying Venezuela.  But lots of South American leaders have destroyed their countries.

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

I'm more disappointed in the Venezuelans for letting it happen.  They were always allegedly some of the smarter ones down there after Jimenez.

Shouldn't you all be out buying Facebook stock while telling everybody how wonderful JPMorgan's investment strategy is?

Seemed to me that he was being generous--overly so--in crediting him with actual thoughts.
