Quote from: The Minsky Moment on December 03, 2024, 01:05:05 PMCK3 was probably the best on or near day release Paradox ever had, but the follow up has been disappointing, at least for stratgame type players.  Vic3 has gone in the opposite direction although still needs more love.  That said as of today I've put more time into EU4 then any other Paradox game except EU2.

I am of the same opinion here.

EuIV can still really entertain, but CK3's RPG element puts it inches ahead.

And just to reminisce about the good old times on Languish and P'dox forums:
"MAP SUCKS"

EU V will most likely have about 200 DLCs before feeling a little more historically interesting.
I don't really like Vic 3 yet, but will of course shell out whatever they ask for for more DLC. "Ooooh, look, I can have different railroad gauges in this one. That will teach the Russians not to invade!".

But really, the greatest disappointment with P'dox was Imperator: Rome. How do you manage to make a game about the ris e of Rome... boring?
