Damning with faint praise once again. 
Even EU standards are higher than that. I mean, Albanian ones.   

Albania would only get in, at best, assuming the international situation somewhat stabilises, in 20-30 years. The UK is more likely to re-enter.  Assuming countries in the EU want them back and a miracle consensus happens in the UK.

Yeah, Albania is infested with corrupt American and Russian oligarchs. Not sure the EU would want them in.
