Title: Searching for a good FPS
Post by: viper37 on June 10, 2013, 10:12:06 AM
I don't care about MP, only SP.  I don't want to pay more than 20$.  The last one I played was Black Ops.
I want something that lasts at least 15hrs, the longer the better.

Call of Juarez - Gunslinger. Not 20 hours, though.

Got far Cry 1.  Far Cry 3 is recent, too much $$.  And I couldn't get the beta to work on my computer, too much lag.  I thought I had a good system, but this brought my machine to its knees.

Didn't know of Arma nor Metro, will check it out.  Thanks.

Second on Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.  I've played through once, I'm playing through again, and the alternate game modes from the story mode are worth flogging to death, if you like spaghetti westerns.

The only good FPS is a dead FPS.

Gunslinger was fun.  Achieving my 2nd replay now. Should have used hard first.

Speaking of westerns, Red Dead Redemption was a lot of fun;  they even added a Zombie add-on, which really gave it a longer replay life.

ah, I bought Crysis 2 Maximum Edition and Crysis 3 for 20$ this week-end.  Only to discover I can't play Crysis 2 with DX11 on Win8

Wrack is supposed to be good if you play it on Hard or above.

Also: I adore Paranautical Activity. And you would too, if you didn't hate things which are awesome.
