QuoteRomney all the way!
For the most part, you agree with Romney's ideas. You consider yourself a Republican, and you're ready for the GOP to take back the White House!
I wasn't actually expecting that. Of course, quiz has a few odd places where you are like, none of those options quite fit.
That's got to be a tough quiz to grade considering how often and how far Romney's positions move
You lean left.
You might just be a Democrat, or at the very least an independent. You probably agree with most of President Obama's polices, and you understand the importance of government spending and oversight.
Surprisingly, I'm a lefty and I won't be voting for Romney... which is very true!
When I saw the option re: China "Just nuke China already and get it over with" I thought of CdM.

Me too. :D
Is this some trick question where I am more conservative than massachusetts governor mitt romney, as conservative as olympics administrator mitt romney, less conservative than batshit primary mitt romeny and slightly to the left of presidential candidate mitt romney?
I found out that I was less likely to fill out an 18 question test to determine something I already knew.
I'm both much more conservative and much more liberal than Mitt Romney.

Sounds right.
Riley had us take a quiz at Vote Smart (http://votesmart.org/voteeasy/?utm_campaign=voteeasy&utm_source=votesmart&utm_medium=homepagead). As Max said, it's not exactly nuanced, but it's still fun to see where you fall.

I got told to vote for Gary Johnson. <_<
Though all were in a range of 10% from each other except whatever that Constitution party was (same % for Obama and Romney!).
One issue I have with quizzes like that is them updated your % of each candidate after each question could lead people to answer differently for balance.
I don't accept the premiss of the question, I don't think Romney is at all conservative in the sense I know the word to mean, speaking as a one nation Tory; Romney and his corporate raiding ilk have been prepared to tear down any long standing business institution or social compact in the pursuit of short term profits for themselves.
If anything I see them sharing some of the characteristics of the Khmer Rouge, rather than the centre right; And yet plenty of conservatives seem to have convinced themselves these are the guys to be trusted and elected as leaders.

Heh. I get 89% Obama, 72% Jill Stein (Green), and 70% Rocky Anderson (Justice??). Only 29% Romney, 23% Virgil Goode (Constitution Party), and 40% Gary Johnson (Libertarian).
What's with the "shows courage" and "lacks courage" monikers? Seems the ones that "show courage" are those who never managed to be elected to anything. :hmm:

That's an understatement, or at least it would be for me. There was only 1 question that had
any possible answer that I wouldn't consider an extreme distortion of my position.

The "Shows Courage" candidates actually answered a series of questions (probably the same ones we answer in the poll). Those who "lack courage" didn't bother.

The implication is that those who "lack courage" didn't want to give a straight answer to the questions. Of course, for the most part, they've addressed those issues in other places, and as you say, didn't bother repeating the same things for some obscure internet site.

Hmm... the bolded part is a bit questionable, don't you think? Romney has alluded to answers, but never actually given hard responses. Obama has done the same on some issues.

Same as Seedy. Did not expect differently.
Solution to the US deficit problem : 5% federal good & services tax.
QuoteCongratulations! You're more conservative than Mitt Romney!
You're a proud member of the GOP, and you might even identify with the tea party movement. You're probably worried that if elected, Romney won't always act as conservative as he says he is.

Why you hate poor people?
I answered totally libertarian, and then I compared my answers with what they said were Romney's policies. Even though for 18 questions I chose something other than Romney's options, including immediate removal from Afghanistan and cutting the military budget, they said I agreed with Romney. I think this may not be a very good poll.
Its a bit stupid.
QuoteThe right to bear arms is totally outdated. Far too many people die from gun violence in the US each year. Guns should be banned entirely; only the military should use them.
Come on. That's an obvious right wingers take on socialist. Nobody thinks they should be banned entirely, in most countries with good gun control they're not banned entirely.
Bloody hell, thats not even the worst:
QuoteFossil fuels and CO2 emissions should be banned from America. Everyone should use public transportation or ride their bikes.

but then also....
QuoteThe US should always be No. 1! Let's just nuke China and get it over with.

I might be more liberal than Obama? Duh. He's a conservative.
I got "left leaning" on the first quiz and then 79% Anderson, 78% Obama, 76% Stein, 41% Johnson, 30% Goode, and I can't see how Romney because it's too small.

Ah, yeah. The Gary Johnson one makes sense by itself, but I wouldn't expect you to get more than 50% for a Green candidate.
I got Obama 94, Anderson 84 and Stein 79. Though I think the health care ones tricked me.
Strange outcome.
