QuoteVice President Joe Biden cozied up with a female biker during a stop today at Cruisers Diner.
The Associated Press snapped this photo of the vice president sitting behind a female biker while he talked with her and two other male bikers looked on.
According to the campaign, the bikers were part of a group called the "Shadowmen," but there were no other details on who the female biker was or what sparked the conversation between her and the vice president, because the pool had been escorted out of the diner before the encounter.
A second AP photo showed Biden grabbing the female biker's shoulders.
When Biden entered the diner, he approached three diners seated at a counter and asked if he they'd lend him one of their motorcycles, according to the pool report.
"Can I borrow one of your bikes? They don't let me ride anymore," Biden said.
"Probably not," Jeff Cook, one of the diners, said.
The vice president responded laughing, "Probably not."
Creepy.
 at the badge of the guy in the right.
Those guys are not amused.
Smooth Biden at his best. Her body was ready.
Quote"Can I borrow one of your bikes? They don't let me ride anymore," Biden said.

He could visibly piss his pants and forget who he is at a campaign rally & you'd still gush about how awesome he is.

I don't think so. I have lukewarm support for Romney and I think this photo is great (and not in a laughing at Biden way). :)
That's crazy Uncle Joe. Give him a brick of beer, a roman candle, and a chained-up bear and let him go!

And only Joe Biden could piss his pants at a campaign rally, and get the crowd pumped over it.
On NPR I heard what sounded like an even better "man of the people" story. Obama's campaign bus stopped at a pizza joint in Jersey or somesuch and the owner (a Republican) gave him a bear hug and lifted him off the ground. It would be a shame if there weren't any photos.

It's not like he's all that big of a Prez.

Yes, agreed and indeed some of the off-camera casual encounters GWB have with the ordinary man in the street sound good, humour events, but I think it's more a case of when the 'security ring of steel' lets it's grip loosen, fun stuff like this happens the world over.
Though I am trying to recall any naturalistic encounters the last French president had with his public.

I seem to recall a certain Queen getting a big ol' black lady hug in Mobtown in 1991.
Edit: LOL, found the photo--

Uhh, no. We don't deify our leaders and pretend they're perfect.
Except for Reagan.
Another awesome thing about the bear hug is the great message it sends to America's angry young black men. :)
Yes, makes me want to run out and hug an angry young black man right now.

To be fair, in that regard, being a Romney supporter is easier. You know that your man is very unlikely to piss his pants in public.
Love it, Love him.

Magic underpants double as a diaper.
I wanted to say it takes some serious balls to bear hug POTUS and lift him off the ground...but as I thought about that, I don't know what it takes. I just know I don't have it.
Joe Biden is hilarious but I'm still really confused that he's our VP. What possible political advantage did he ever bring to the Obama campaign? Biden has been a joke for 20 years. I have a hard time thinking of a Democrat who would be a worse running mate for Obama in terms of what he brings to the table.

Same reason Dukakis picked Bentsen, Clinton chose Gore, Romney picked Ryan, and Cheney picked himself: governors, outsiders and inexperienced community activists need men with experience on the Hill.
Biden may be a goof, but he knows the Hill.
On top of that, I think Biden appeals a lot to blue collar union types who might have lukewarm feelings about Obama.

Which is why Obama reminds me somewhat of JFK, though he's not such a flawed individual, nor rabble rouser, yet by the same token Biden ain't nearly as good a political operator as LBJ.

Biden my not be an LBJ, but I don't doubt that he knows all the ins & outs of congress and would be good at helping set up deals for Obama. Problem is Obama doesn't seem to want to make use of that.

19 job bills killed and counting. 360 filibusters for 2012 and counting. 30 meaningless votes to overturn Obamacare and counting. "Personhood" amendments attached to drought relief farm bills and counting.
I hope you and all your fetus friends are having fun.
For all we know both sides don't want to talk to eachother honestly. But the House GOPs are just being dicks because Obama is black.

Yeah, Obama really is reaching out & trying to make deals with congress. How did the votes on his budget proposals turn out? Sure he got at least the Dems to vote yea, right??

Who knew Republicans were such delicate creatures.
