I will make a ghost monster to chase it.  I'm tempted to buy a few cup cakes for Power Pellets but that is going a bit far.

I think the effect would be better if you just cut out a slice for the mouth. That gives you a chance to sample the cake as well. Also - I like to make a cliché, then powder cocoa to make details. It produces a mor filling colour.

Is that marcipan on top of the cake?

Cliche?  Like a cut out?

It is vanilla frosting.  I used some yellow food coloring gel.  I ran out of vanilla extract and had to cut up a bean, so if it looks a bit gritty that's why.  The finished product will not have that.

[/quote]Yes, exactly, a cut-out. I've been wanting to try marcipan on top of a home-made cake. If you only roll it thin and are careful putting it on, it would be nice.
