Poll
Question:
Do you and your significant other vote the same way on major elections?
Option 1: Absolutely!
Option 2: It depends on the candidates.
Option 3: I've no idea; we don't discuss it.
Option 4: S/he doesn't vote.
Option 5: I don't vote.
Option 6: I don't have a significant other but I really feel a need to vote in polls.
I was thinking about this today. Given the divisiveness of the American political system, there have to be families out there that don't agree on the best candidates every time.
We have always voted different. Polar opposites.
I'm not sure that we've ever voted the same way in a Presidential election.
2000 - Cal: Bush, Princesca: Browne
2004 - Cal: Badnarik, Princesca: Bush
2008 - Cal: Barr, Princesca: McCain
For local elections, I more typically vote Democrat than her, and am a registered Democrat. I think she's a registered Republican now... I think she changed from Independent to Republican last year. In the 2012 Democratic primary I voted for Obama, and if she did change then she definitely voted for Paul.
She doesn't vote.

Nor should she. Anger knows best. :)
I wouldn't trust my penis to do anything in public, let along vote, it would probably cross the UKIP box. :bowler:
Not of age yet c'mon Garbo!

Chubbie Subbie's not my SO, but the fact that she's a staunch Republitard just makes all of it even more fun.
And to answer meri's question.
If she knows what's good for her. :P

I make her beg for increased regulatory control of financial transactions.

Also take your turn already!
It just occurred to me that this upcoming Presidential election will be the first one Max and I both get to vote in. Since I don't know who I'm voting for yet, I have no idea if we'll be voting the same way. :hmm:
She votes; I don't. In fact I am not even a registered voter. So of course we vote differently :D
You left off the option for those who nearly invariably vote opposite each other.
Anyway, I don't vote or have a significant other. /shrug

Then again, depending on the winner, she may not have to worry about listening to her body anymore.

Not really. She's already spoken to how she feels the two of them treat each other with little respect.

On the contrary, Romney and Ryan are going to take away her Medicare so she has no choice but to listen to her body.

I never can get aa to go to the polls, which is aggravating because she agrees with me on most issues and would vote the same way as me the vast majority of the time.

My Whore Zones are no longer an issue, thank you very much! Wait... hey! Get off my Whore Zones! :ultra:
Romney/Ryan aren't on the table, and in all honesty, it doesn't matter who I vote for. I live in Illinois, remember? So I haven't really decided on whether to support any other party with my vote. It's a small thing, but it's my small pleasure in the voting booth.

That's crazy talk! Fox News assured me that there would be zero change to any Medicare or Medicaid coverage for those over the age of 55 with Ryan's plan. Yer so dumb.

Well, he is right. Women are the most pro-family (which we want to destroy, remember?), they want to ban porn and prostitution for completely selfish reasons and want the rest of the society to chip in so they can breed. I don't see how we have any common interests.
And to answer the poll, depends on the candidates but ones that are similar, not polar opposites.
There's no "We don't vote the same way" option. With a poll like that Meri you should be in politics :P
