Title: Anyone got any experience with VPNs?
Post by: Josquius on August 06, 2012, 03:22:38 AM
I'm thinking I need to buy one considering recent developments and my need for speedy UK TV.
Has anyone ever subscribed to one?
Any ideas what I should be looking for?
So many companies and I can't seem to find anything definitely neutral about them anywhere. All seems rather shifty.

I don't really understand what you want to buy. I only know VPNs as a technology to allow access of private networks from the internet, e.g. the intranet of my employer. What private network would you connect to?

Expat in Asia seem to do that alot. They buy access to a private network. It's mostly used to circumvent Region IP look up.

In his case, tyr wants to watch UK tv.

The free one I've got is rather unreliable and doesn't allow some programmes to access the internet at the same time.
