What's the acceptable tip in Spain for a bellboy for bringing your luggage to your hotel room?
Is 5 euro fine or too little? I'm in my room waiting for the luggage so this is urgent and I only have 5 and 20 euro notes. :P
It's Spain, so nothing. They should get used to their status as slaves of Northern Europeans sooner rather than later.
Seriously, five euros sounds good enough for wheeling some dude's bag onto an elevator.
Well in Euros duh.
Personal trips I tip them like $5 if using themm but the standard tip is usually $1-2 per bag here in US.
Working I usually have all the camera gear in my room which means upwards of 10 cases and bags which i then tip accordingly ie around $20
5 should be fine. How much do you tip the cleaning staff?
I have never taken a trip where I had more luggage than I could carry myself.
You're a super rich lawyer. 5 euros would be fine for a normal person but you should pay 20 and spread the wealth.
5€ sounds like a bit too much, unless you're carrying a royal retinue worth of luggage.

Same here.
In the Iberian Peninsula, tips are not expected.
Though for some reason foreigners keep giving them  , often in obscene amounts.
Basically:
Either give nothing, or pay very handsomely - 200 euro or more.
If you don't tip, nobody will think any worse of you.
If you give a tiny tip, you will look like an idiot.
If you give a large tip, you will be considered a wealthy foreigner and treated quite well.
I don't carry petty cash.
Does the bellboy have feet btw?

When I get my hands on a time machine, I'm gonna go back in time and kidnapp whoever invented tipping.
No reply.
I gues Marty did the right thing with the bellboy and got the 'hidden extras'?

Between your no-tipping and Malthus drinking the blood of children, Jewish stereotypes are being done no favors here on Languish. :P

He was old and ugly. If he was young and hot he would have got a twenty.

Pay him two thousand a month, and you could get a new boyfriend.
5 euros for carrying some luggage?
Ok it's Marty so he probably travels with a caravan worth of stuff, but damn.
I'd give 1, maybe 2. Tops.
Tamas would have a string on his coins so he could yank them back. We're on to your gypsy ways.

Photocopied bank notes, and too lazy to even copy both sides. Just don't turn them over.

Assuming he had a bag or two, I agree.
But the bigger thing is that Marty seems to have left his bags, gone up to his room, and had them delivered later. If you want to carry my bags up for me, do it as I go to the room. And really, I got the bags to the hotel lobby, I can probably get them to my room anyway.
