Title: Siege's Music Thread
Post by: Siege on May 15, 2012, 01:55:32 AM
This is about a few bands I have come across and I would like to share the treasure with you guy.
First is Halestorm, a sister and brother act, managed by their father. The bass and rythm guitar are hired hands.
This is the first vidoe:  Halestorm - All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You (live)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q1I7uyuCuI&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q1I7uyuCuI&feature=related)
Second vidoe is: Halestorm - It's Not You
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVYgoejO3ac (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVYgoejO3ac)
And finally their latest: Halestorm - Familiar Taste Of Poison
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHZKPYQnsmc (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHZKPYQnsmc)
So, what do you think?

Second video sounds like 80s hair metal, third sounds like Evanescence or Paramore.

Alestorm is kind of cool. Too bad they use keyboards.
That symphonic folk rock thing is not my type of beer.
But is interesting.

I was there when the Reign in Blood came out in 1986.

Then South Of Heaven came out in 1988 and became my favor Slayer album to this day.

Regardless, the question is since when loving Heavy Metal means that I cannot listen to Power rock and shit like that?

I thought about looking on how to do that internet radio thingy on the interwho. I figured there would be no interest so I didn't bother.

One of these days, Siegy's going to walk into one of those fucked-up thrash white supremacist RaHoWa farm concerts, and you'll be able to hear the crickets.

And they're fucking hilarious, live, to boot.  I'd rank them up there with Powerglove for sheer goof factor.

ETA: I'm surprised nobody's commented on how disturbing it is that a brother and sister act would perform "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You." ;)

He's able to pass, they won't notice until he starts speaking Yiddish.

Although this is probably more along Siege's lines:

Orphaned Land - The Warrior (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKWj6kvzBJU)

Quote
[English translation:]
And there, from infernal depths and life of slavery
From the scheming of the poisoned tree
The warrior returned and rose
With his heart's might and faith's conviction
He swore to be an orphan nevermore
And from this day onwards he shall be a blessing - illumination to this world

You see it clearly now – you are the one
Your destiny, your will be done
Like clay you shape your own reality
You paint your own moon, stars and sun
This is the time in which you must decide
In servitude or life of pride
Thy name shall be henceforth ORwarriOR
And to the very few – Lochem ha'or
El Norra guide the ones who stand alone
The ones to be, the once before
You are the guiding path, ORwarriOR
The one foretold in days of yore
A shield against the Raging of the storm
A blade of truth forevermore
