Okay, for the definition of "Modern" we are going to use the last ten years. What do you guys think were some of the best in the last decade? I'm mostly thinking of PC games but you can add in console games. If you want. I guess.
Inspired by me finding Arx Fatalis on Steam for five bucks. I loved that game. Came out at the same time as Morrowind, but I liked it much better. Far more linear, game takes place entirely in a dungeon area. Still really neat, you should check it out.
DEFCON Christmas version, designed specifically for fahdiz.
FO3/NV
CM2
ES IV
Defcon was a blast. Although everyone I showed it to found it disturbing. Excellent visual design and easy game play. What is ES IV?

Oblivion. Elder Scrolls IV.
World of Warcraft.
Europa Universalis III.
FO3. ME2. Dragon Age: Origins
WH40k:DoW Dark Crusade - hundreds of hours of MP gaming, in spite of me hating PvP in any game (cause I suck at it)
Portal - excellent puzzle game
KoToR - epic
Witcher - breath of fresh air with combat mechanics, close to 100 hours of gaming just to finish it - quite unusual for modern games :glare:
Portal was good. I really liked Company of Heroes by the same company as Dawn of War. I liked Dawn of War as well, but company of heroes had better artillery. I love artillery.
