I would be interested too. I learned Go last summer but haven't found anyone to play against.
I do know Go is considered one of the harder game AI problems out there.
I hear Paradox is making a go game.
You probably want drago (http://www.godrago.net/). It's a Go interface that lets you play against many different Go engines as well as play back or edit saved games.
