Title: Cheap Ass Hi-Fi (no doubt low-fi to most of you audio buffs)
Post by: mongers on December 15, 2011, 04:54:12 PM
So I found a budget turntable when I was sorting out the attic and I went and bought one of those cheap low power T-amp things from the Far East.

Got it hooked up to some seperate speakers that used to be part of an enormous ghetto-blaster, I had to renovate them a bit, anyway after the little amp was played in a bit, the 'system' sounds OK.

Now I guess I should get some acceptable speaker for it, any suggestions ?

I was thinking of building some small transmission lines for it, advantage of higher efficiency, though I'm not sure I have the time to build them.

Yeah, it's rather cool, it plays these black frisbees that apparently have analogue sounds scratched onto their surface by needle using drug addicts, or something like that.
