QuoteZimbabwean women in court over sex attacks on hitchhikers
Three women and man accused of drugging and raping men they picked up, reportedly to use their semen in ritual practices

guardian.co.uk, Monday 17 October 2011 09.16 EDT
Three Zimbabwean women have been accused of a series of sex attacks on male hitchhikers, purportedly to steal their semen for use in ritual practices.
In a case that has gripped media and public imagination, the gang appeared in court to face charges of aggravated indecent assault.
Sophie and Netsai Nhokwara, sisters aged 26 and 24, along with 28-year-old Rosemary Chakwizira, are the first suspects to be arrest since accounts of women gang-raping men in Zimbabwe emerged two years ago. They were charged along with Thulani Ngwenya, 24, who is Sophie Nhokwara's boyfriend.
The gang's alleged 17 victims identified so far include a soldier and a police officer whom they allegedly forced to have sex without condoms, the state-owned Herald newspaper reported.
"It is alleged that on 3 March this year at around 7:50am, the four, who were driving a Toyota Spacio without registration numbers, picked a 19-year-old man in Budiriro, Harare," the paper said.
"The teenager was on his way to town. Along the way, the state says they sprayed him with chemicals and he felt dizzy. It is alleged they diverted the route and drove into a bushy area along Mukuvisi river behind Houghton Park where they forced him to drink a concoction, which stimulates sexual desire.
"They then allegedly forced the teenager to be intimate with the three of them using condoms. After this, they secured the used condoms containing semen before spraying him with the same substance and leaving him unconscious. When he woke up, the teenager reported the matter to police."
The women were arrested when they were involved in an accident and police reportedly found 31 used condoms – three half-full of semen – in the boot of their car.
James Sabau, a spokesman for Harare police, told state media that preliminary investigations suggested a ritual link to the collection of victims' semen.
"We are still trying to figure out why semen was collected," he was quoted as saying. "Information we have gathered so far links the entire female rapist issue to rituals that make people rich. It is, however, still unclear how the supposed rituals work."
The suspects, "dressed in designer clothes and fancy hairstyles", according to one report, stood in the dock as the charges were read for almost an hour last Friday. They were then remanded in custody until 28 October.
What is doubtful? Some people in Zimbabwe did something weird. So what?

I think he's looking at the women raping the police officer and soldier.

I think the doubtful part is that a woman can, with the aid of an aerosol spray, make a man have sex with her to orgasm against his will.
Though Chanel No. 5 does have a rep ... ;)
Men can be raped by women. Even if they don't want to, it isn't difficult to coax an erection from a man, especially if he is drugged. It's a physical response to stimulation, so of course it can be done. I'm surprised that this is even in question.

You've had experience doing this? Or perhaps, you were once a man? :hmm:

I didn't realize that one had to have been a man or to have raped someone to realize how the physical body works. Or maybe one just has to be a snide Jewish lawyer.

It wasn't that it isn't physically possible, but rather what are the odds that that is what actually happened (as opposed to some cops being busted for having sex, who turned around and accused the women of performing witchcraft upon them).

A snide Jewish lawyer who is more apt to believe in a corrupt cop accusing women of "raping" him with the aid of aphrodesiac drugs when actually they were just having sex and got caught.
For one, such drugs are not actually, you know,
known to exist. :D Though if you have the secret, no doubt you could make a bundle!

That wasn't my concern. I am suspicious of claims of women raping men, especially soldiers and police officers, in Africa, though.
Yeah, I'm with garbon here.
Certainly agree women definitely can do this.
That its against a soldier and a cop in a country such as this though...yeeahhhh have to agree on the iffyness.

Your argument is that "it isn't difficult" to force an unwilling male to have an erection. You claim this this is true because it is "how the physical body works." I think Malthus is (rightly, in my mind) questioning whether this is, in fact, true. For a man, an erection ios far more than a physical response to stimuli, as the testaments to bogus aphrodisiacs will attest.
Though this truth may only be apparent to snide Jewish lawyers, as you intimate... in which case I guess I am snide, Jewish, and a lawyer without realizing it.

It's the "Jewish" part that was surprising. Snide and a lawyer, I could believe [the only question being, which revelation is worse :hmm: ].
Anyway, welcome to the tribe, Grumbler! :Joos

viagra. The guy doesn't need to fall in love, he just needs to have an erection. Afaik, there are similar drugs to viagra, so it could be fairly easy to get some of this in a 3rd world country, dilute it in water (you don't need a 24hr erection) and have the guy drink it.
Give the used condoms found in the car, I'd tend to assume there is some truth to the story. I doubt a policemen in Zimbabwe would go through the trouble of collecting used condoms (presumably with different sperm donors in them since it could be tested, even there) and planting them in a women's car.
But it's a newspaper report from the other side of the world, so who knows where's the truth. there could be added facts as well as missing ones.
Edit: ... never mind

The drug is described as "they forced him to drink a concoction, which stimulates sexual desire." That is, an aphrodisiac. An anti-erectile dysfunction drug does not actually increase libido.
While many drugs and other substances have been alleged to be true aphrodisiacs, and many drugs certainly increase sexual pleasure or remove inhibitions (think booze), their actual
libido-enhancing effects have been mostly caused by the placebo effect.
Certainly, none have ever worked so as to make someone desire to have sex against their will. That just doesn't happen. A story containing claims that suggest that a man was "raped" by aid of such a substance, and in aid of witchcraft of all things, triggers the good old bullshit meter.
Male rape, in the sense of a woman having sex with a man against his will where *he* orgasms, is vanishingly rare in the first place. Add to that the apparent claim that the guy's will was overcome by aphrodisiacs, and that the guy in question was a cop, and the story stinks more than a stack of used condoms. :D
I can think of a reason for a young woman having sex with people like cops and having lots of used condoms about - perhaps she's a rather untidy 'lady of the evening' working out of her car. That's rather more likely than a scientist-rapist-witch, no?

I don't want to hear about the case* that make you smell a stack of used condoms.
*I am assuming you know the smell for professional, rather than personal, reasons.
I thought it was common knowledge that you can in fact get the man to stiffen and jizz against his will.

Not really. Realistically speaking, there is a big likelihood that I would run afoul of Secret Service were I to combine these two concepts.

Sadly, used condoms have figured in more than a few of my cases.
Thankfully I've never had to smell them.
Although there was this one time when I ran a Supreme Court trial in a community hall in a remote Yukon community with a backed up septic system. Despite it being March and many degrees below zero we still had all the doors and windows open. :x
