Title: Tragedy in Limerick
Post by: Malthus on July 09, 2011, 11:13:58 AM
http://www.thejournal.ie/woman-died-from-allergic-reaction-to-sex-with-dog-172620-Jul2011/

QuoteA MAN HAS appeared before Limerick District Court charged with ordering his Alsatian dog to have sex with a 43-year-old mother of four, who died from an adverse allergic reaction to the intercourse.

Let the punsters loose!

A man of the lowest sort
Ordered his dog to disport
With a lady whose allergy
Led to terrible tragedy;
Now he's in District Court.

QuoteThe Sun's Barry Moran said McDonnell could face a life sentence in prison if found guilty.

Wtf. That's insane.

Well, a life sentence may only be 25 years (the dog would get less than 4)  ;)

Seriously though, the max sentence is probably set by the fact he's charged under archaic legislation, and doesn't reflect what he'd actually get in a modern court (if anything).

Glad I'm not one of the mother's kids.  That would be hard to live down.  Life sentence for killing someone?  That sounds about right.

He could have killed her by making her a peanut butter sandwich just as easily.

I thought the girl from Nantucket had died or grown up. Thankfully, it wasn't that serious.

I don't; I'm rather glad we don't have the option to metaphorically stick our fingers in our ears like a four year old child who doesn't like what he hears.

If that was possible it'd most likely be possible to block your posts as well....

EDIT: In any case, I'm pretty sure there are plugins for several browsers that allow that sort of functionality. I haven't looked into it any further, though.

I'm a bit surprised you're standing up for dog rape, what with the ranting about animal rights last month.

It's peanut butter spread between 2 slices of bread.  Well, sometimes it's only spread on half a slice, which is then folded over to make the sandwich.  Often served with jelly on it.

Do we know for a fact that the dog didn't consent?

Dog can't consent. :contract:  Just like a child.

Good. I can pretty much guess who the people who would block my posts are, and frankly I'm not interested in having an interaction of any kind with them so it would be fine.

Dog can't consent. :contract:  Just like a child.

An animal is a thing. It can't consent to sex any more than it can consent to being slaughtered, sliced and served as food.

The only possible case against sex with animals is animal cruelty, but for that you have to prove the animal was harmed. A dog humping a woman probably wasn't, and most likely enjoyed it.

If it can't consent to sex then it's sexual assault.  You, yourself used the same argument when you took offense at comparisons of homosexuality to bestiality and pedophilia.

So animals should not have sex then. We will have to stop them doing so, maugre the consequences  :hmm:

I don't think adding bestiality charges to the woman would serve much of a purpose. She's dead.

I never argued against bestiality. In fact, I have always argued for decriminalization of bestiality and incest as I don't see the ethical reason to ban them. Pedophilia is a completely different thing.

It's archaic and means notwithstanding or in spite of, a useful word that should be brought back into mainstream English imo  :nerd:

Dubliners I met said they refer to Limerick as "stab city". This puts a slightly different spin on it.

How can this be?

A lady thought to bend herself over
and be boned by dear old Rover
Sadly her distraction
Caused quite a reaction;
Quoted the coroner,  "game over".

There once was a family from Lim;
Dog liked to drink juice and gin;
Then the old horny mutt,
Pounded the lady in the butt,
Martinus wished the lady was him.
